Description Antonio Orefice 2020-10-07 09:40:08 UTC
SUMMARY
Using oxygen decoration, if i modify shading->contrast in systemsettings -> Colors, nothing changes

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select oxygen decoration
2. Open systemsettings -> Colors, edit the used color scheme
3. Modify Shading -> Contrast

OBSERVED RESULT
Dolphin window does not change his appearance, eg: the gradient in the background is the same.

EXPECTED RESULT
Window background should paint a different gradient, following the contrast setting given by color scheme.
Other elements that i think should change color reacting to contrast preference stays the same (like the frame under the toolbar icons)

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Archlinux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.74.0
Qt Version: 5.15.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Used to work in the past.

i noticed that the value for "contrast" in kdeglobals in [KDE] section is not updated by the color config utility.
But if i chang it manualy and logout/login, then the contrast changes.
I'm a bit lost now, because it seems not to be an oxygen style bug, but i don't know what component to choose to modify this bugreport.

Hi Nate,
Initially i identified the component as Oxygen, but i noticed that the color systemsettings module just does not update che "contrast" setting into the kdeglobals file.
If i change it manually, oxygen reacts correctly.

OK, moving to the component for the colors KCM then.
