SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run Kden Live app image
2. Go to Settings
3. Go to Playback
4. GPU Processing Greyed out and not selectable

OBSERVED RESULT
No way to use GPU with Kden live resulting in EXTREMELY choppy play back (even with proxys) and slow rendering 1008p with a Ryzen 3700X

EXPECTED RESULT
KDEN being able to smoothly edit and render HD video on a reasonably powerful computer

Hi and thank you for your patience.

This is due to ongoing problems with MLT (and engine behind effects and compositions) and the MOVIT library, hence enabling GPU acceleration for playback etc. has been disabled.

HW acceleration is only possible for the encoding part of the render process (NVENC or VAAPI).

Besides using proxies, you can reduce the resolution in the project monitor and use preview rendering.
