The plugin (in Firefox) just shows "no devices found". The process ending with "kdeconnect_chrome" that is there on X11 appears to not start on Wayland.

yes, that extension is not maintained by KDE so please report issues to the author

I actually figured it out now...
Apparently the plugin wasn't properly installed on my laptop (where I'm using Wayland, vs X on my desktop). Installed it again and now it works, lol.
