SUMMARY
In the configuration of KDevelop, the feature about adding customized manual-compilers do nothing.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the dialog box of "Configure -- KDevelop";
2. Select the "C/C++ Compilers" entry in the left list;
3. Add a "Manual Compiler", e.g GCC;
4.Save and Apply.

OBSERVED RESULT
Re-open the config dialog window, the compiler entry that we added just now disappeared!!!

EXPECTED RESULT
The compiler entry should be saved .

I cannot reproduce this with 5.6-git on Arch.

On the other hand, I also can't find any commit in the intervening time that seems relevant.

Can you please try with the 5.6.0 AppImage from https://www.kdevelop.org/download (or a locally-compiled build) and see if the current version works for you?
