Windows 10 64 bits :
DigiKam Version 7.1.0 if entered or modified, geolocation data is no longer written in jpeg files unlike version 6.4.0. Writing the metadata of the selected files does not change anything.

Check the setting of:

Settings -> Configure digiKam -> Metadata -> Behaviour -> Geolocation Information
