Description musicwanders 2020-09-17 02:19:41 UTC
SUMMARY
The brush stops working when I have to draw on the canvas, if I open another file, it works there, but stops working for the current file I am working on, I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, but there is no difference whatsoever.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Krita
2. Open file currently working on
3. Use brush tool (doesn't work)

OBSERVED RESULT
The brush seems to become invisible when drawn on the particular canvas, with opacity and everything set to its normal standards. No change in the settings whatsoever. If I open the brush stroke history, it is registered as a stroke has been made, but in reality no stroke has been made. Vector tools seem to work at random times, but the brush refuses to work

EXPECTED RESULT
I expect the brush to function properly like it did before. I have no idea what has happened with my software now. I cannot keep redoing an entire piece at different stages of its progress.

Uninstalling and reinstalling krita will have no effect on its behaviour.

When you say "...the current file I am working on, ...", do you mean one particular .kra file that you are presently interested in and so are often working with, or do you mean any existing .kra file that you open and try to work with?

Does it work ok with a newly created document?

If you do Select -> Deselect (or Ctrl + Shift + A) does that fix things?

It works okay with a newly created document.
I tried Select -> Deselect (or Ctrl + Shift + A), upon your mentioning, and
it did fix things! Thank you so much for your help.
I am extremely sorry for the trouble it may have caused you.

Khrusha

Marking as "not a bug".
