I don't think it is a duplicate of bug 377099

This seems to be a Windows specific problem. On Linux Albums highlighted correctly on mouse over so i can see where i move Albums to.

Try to change the widgets style in Setup/Misc dialog page.

I can also reproduce this problem under Linux.

Only the Breeze style from KF5 highlighted an album item under Linux. As in the AppImage under Linux and Windows, or MacOS, the Breeze style is not available.

I think we could use a style sheet for the tree view to do this.

Can confirm with Windows or Fusion it's also broken under Linux. On Windows only those two Styles available. Under Linux Breeze and Oxygen Style are ok.
Comment 8 Maik Qualmann 2020-09-17 14:55:51 UTC
As I said, it is not broken. Only Breeze has this feature. Due to the dependencies that Breeze needs, we cannot integrate it into the bundles.

OK would great to see this :-)

With the style sheets a highlighting would be possible. Unfortunately, style sheets break the color theme.

Could you more explain please. Does default theme still working?
In general could Albums highlighting work on Windows like it does under Linux with Breeze Style or couldn't be fix?

Thanks!

Hi and happy new year,

Can you test with digiKam 7.5.0 pre-release for Windows available here :
