SUMMARY

"Customize Krita" Window vanishes from screen and appears to be "next to" the visible screen

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Settings > Customize Krita
2. Try to adjust vertical size of the window by dragging on the top edge of the window

OBSERVED RESULT

Window clips out of the screen and it can't be accessed anmore. As the window is in front of the running main application, krita can't be accessed nor closed anymore, only way to close it is the taskmanager.

EXPECTED RESULT

The window should just adjust its size without vanishing from the screen.

Your display seems to be pretty small, why is that? Is your Krita really big on screen? Have you tried: Configure Krita -> General -> Window -> uncheck Enable HiDPI, restart Krita and see if you can use it that way?
Comment 4 trash4maxi 2020-09-01 18:19:22 UTC
Well I have it checked but I can't uncheck it, as the button to apply the settings isn't on my screen and to get it on the screen I would have to change the vertical size of the window but then the bug I mentioned occurs. Should I reinstall krita?
Comment 5 Halla Rempt 2020-09-01 18:21:35 UTC
Sorry, but displays smaller than 1366 × 768 are not supported and will not be supported.
Comment 6 Tiar 2020-09-01 18:23:52 UTC
Go to your Windows settings and change the UI scaling to something smaller, because I doubt your screen is actually that small, I think it's Windows making everything bigger. Then you can uncheck the setting in Krita and restore the Windows settings, or just leave it as it is. Although if you really need such big scaling and otherwise you don't see buttons or can't read what's going on on your screen (because of weak sight etc.), it might be that Krita is not a good app for you at the moment :(
