Description joaovms25 2020-08-31 22:26:05 UTC
SUMMARY
Just "configure" button shows up if directory is on "slow drive"

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Setup Media Frame Widget at the desktop
2. Setup a single path that contains pictures (A)
3. Save

OBSERVED RESULT
Pictures show up, but upon reboot or power up and login only the "configure" button shows up.

EXPECTED RESULT
Images on path A shows up in Media Frame widget.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 4.19.141-2
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0
Qt Version: 5.15.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
If a path B containing pictures, located in another drive with faster response / earlier mount time after login the pictures of A will show up. After boot the issue will not happen.
Copied the contents of A to the drive where my wallpaper pictures are located, the same issue happened while wallpapers load immediately after login.

Thanks for the bug report! Sorry we were not able to get to it yet. Is this still reproducible for you in Plasma 6.3.0 or later?

Hello Nate, not anymore, while using the same HW.
Mediaframe images shows fine after a boot+auto login, but I have formatted my pictures drive using ext4 since then (it used ntfs before that).
