STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Try to generate PDF tooltips using \pdftooltip from pdfcomment latex package
https://ctan.org/pkg/pdfcomment

Currently, you can see its effect looking into the package documentation for example (page 14, hovering over the equation for example)

OBSERVED RESULT
It shows nothing

EXPECTED RESULT
It should show a tooltip

On linux it works with Evince as it was implemented there:

It is still waiting to be implemented in poppler:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/poppler/poppler/-/issues/34

On Windows, it is properly supported with Adobe Reader and Microsoft Edge for example

It was finally fixed on poppler side... but still not showing in okular

And it is implemented in Evince! ;)
