I don't see this in the 4.2.8 or 4.3.0 appimage or the Aug 25 Stable appimage on Linux. The apostrophe, alone or with other characters, is correctly shown and rendered. In the SVG text it is not escaped. I tried a random selection of three different fonts. Could this be specific to macOS? Can you try this with a variety of different fonts?
