SUMMARY

With this Applications 20.08 update, the Konsole received the feature of displaying a thumbnails, but there is no option to disable this feature. Of course, I can specify some key, without pressing which they will not be displayed, but it doesn't seem logically correct.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE neon 5.19 User Edition
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2

Another option just to disable something that you can choose not to use by
not triggering the key seems clutter for me.

Don't confuse the ability to on/off this feature with the ability to configure it. For example, the Desktop Folder Settings allow you to on/off thumbnails for some file types, but also there is an option to on/off thumbnails entirely. Same for Dolphin.

I agree with Tomaz that there doesn't need to be an explicit on/off button. If we did have that, you can bet someone would file a bug report saying that it's redundant since you can just set it to require all three modifier keys and then not press all of them when hovering the cursor over files. So just do that. :)

Ok, but It's good from the point of view of UX/UI design.
