Don't confuse the ability to on/off this feature with the ability to configure it. For example, the Desktop Folder Settings allow you to on/off thumbnails for some file types, but also there is an option to on/off thumbnails entirely. Same for Dolphin. I agree with Tomaz that there doesn't need to be an explicit on/off button. If we did have that, you can bet someone would file a bug report saying that it's redundant since you can just set it to require all three modifier keys and then not press all of them when hovering the cursor over files. So just do that. :) Ok, but It's good from the point of view of UX/UI design. |
