This looks weird for two reasons: 1) The application crashes on shutdown. Something must have caused it to quit. Sure you didn't accidentially close the window? 2) The crash happens in kdev-embedded, an unsupported (for a long time) plugin you have loaded, built from your home directory. I suggest you uninstall that plugin and try if you still experience the crash. If that is indeed the case, you are welcome to fix the plugin ;) Ah, well I'll uninstall the plugin then, I tried it because I needed openocd support (which it doesn't provide). "Something must have caused it to quit." I'm not really sure. The crash/unresponsiveness happens somewhat frequently and I can usually force it to crash by smashing the close button. I'll report again & link if it still happens without the plugin Ah well, maybe it is unresponsive, you close it, and it then crashes on shutdown, and the unresponsiveness is just a "I do something for 20 secs, then I'm back" state. To figure out what approximately it is doing while unresponsive, you can attach a debugger (and interrupt) while it hangs, or attach perf, e.g. with "perf record -g --call-graph dwarf -p (pidof kdevelop)". That perf trace might also tell you what it is doing. Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Please provide the requested information as soon as possible and set the bug status as REPORTED. Due to regular bug tracker maintenance, if the bug is still in NEEDSINFO status with no change in 30 days the bug will be closed as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME due to lack of needed information. For more information about our bug triaging procedures please read the wiki located here: https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Bug_triaging If you have already provided the requested information, please mark the bug as REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to be confirmed. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! Seems very likely this was due to kdev-embedded, which isn't being worked on currently. (this might be my fault for suggesting you look at it, if you were the person asking on IRC) Yup, this clearly was due to the plugin. Yes I was ashing on IRC, but don't worry, I gave it a quick try then uninstalled when seeing it's unmaintained :) |
