Thanks for your report! To confirm this issue. Double click into the project bin on an empty space (this opens the same file browser as with “Extract Frame to the Project”). Do you have the same issue see the files on a drive mounted with VeraCrypt? I just tested it, and it does not work, the problem still exists. If I choose extract frame or double click in the project bin, the same file picker window opens up which does not show the drive mounted by VeraCrypt. If I manually enter the drive, kdenlive closes. SUMMARY The folder selection dialog window after using "Extract frame to project" doesn't show drive mounted by VeraCrypt. The window is different than if I click on File->Open. With file->open I get the standards MS Windows window which show all the drives, but with "Extract frame to project" I get an another kind of window for choosing the path which doesn't show the VeraCrypt drives. If I type the name of only the drive ("d:") in the file name field, then kdenlive freezes and quit, if I add another folder (for example: "d:\temp"), then it shows the contents of the folder in the drive mounted by verycrypt. After I type the drive and a folder (for example: "d:\temp"), kdenlive shows the contents of the folder, and then I can go back to the root of the drive using the breadcrumbs on the top of the window. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. open a project, right click on the video in the project monitor, then choose "Extract frame to project" 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT The folder selection window doesn't show the drives mounted by VeraCrypt. EXPECTED RESULT The windows should show all the drives, like if I would choose "File -> Open..." menu.
