Remove the version number from the caption We added this way back so Linux Format couldn't review a beta and claim they were reviewing the final release. But that is hardly relevant anymore. Created attachment 130734 [details] the version number takes up quite a lot of space in the tab bar. The presence of the lengthy version number in the tab makes using the Plus version a chore for those who want/need it because of its bugfixes. It would be neat to be able to hide it via a switch in the settings, or a config file, or whatever else. It can be as arcane and well-hidden as is necessary to avoid people complaining that "the update destroyed their work" due to unwittingly using a development version, as long as it's less-of-a-hassle than manually compiling the whole program.
