SUMMARY

Many of the tools that are used for animation and art, such as all of the art tools and selection tools

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.select the wanted tool 
2.do the action (paint, select area, etc.) 
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT

No area is selected/nothing appears when painting

EXPECTED RESULT

Area is selected/the paint appears

Hi, we wouldn't release a version that completely doesn't work. There must be something special about your system or maybe the way you do things. It would be better if you asked for help on forum like krita-artists.org .

- Does it happen only in one specific file or maybe several?
- Does it go away if you do: Configure Krita -> Display, change the Renderer, click OK and restart Krita?
- If not, does it go away if you reset your configuration: https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html#resetting-krita-configuration
