the new version in plasma 5 has some oddities

one is the zoom, zooming the image it is hopping around which is strange and not very practical, the former version zoomed and hold the center of the image in the center and stood there even when going forward or backwards, this was extremely cool when comparing different images with the same content, for photos for example

now clicking forward gwenview jumps back to fitting view, the former version hold the zoom until clicking "fit"

it would be great considering a rollback to facilitate the use

this is with plasma and kde packages from Ubuntu repo installed on Linux Mint 20, everything up to date with latest versions

thanks

You can hold the zoom position per-image when you move between images. It's an optional but off-by-default feature. To turn it on, go to Settings menu > Gwenview Settings > Image View > Zoom mode > Keep same zoom and position.

well, nice, works,  but still the position not ...

the image zoom is not centered, the expansion starts from left zero, or in other words the images grows rightwards what is not very elegant and when the it is 3x2 zoomed and next image is same object centered 2x3 format it is totally off, somewhere on the upper right border and that is not cool, I mean it is harder to work with
I think the next image position should always be relative to the image proportions
