SUMMARY
Scroll bars in tree view cover up the sort icon.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Fill up tree view (in my case Tags and People) with entries, until the scroll bar appears.

OBSERVED RESULT
Sort icon is missing, because scroll bar probably overlays sort icon.

EXPECTED RESULT
Sort icon is still visible.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: Debian stable, AppImage 7.0.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I accidentally resorted my tags in reverse alphabetical order and was not able to change the sorting, because hinting through the sort icon was missing.

At the moment I am on Windows and can neither reproduce it with the Fusion Style nor with the Windows Style. When the scroll bar appears, the sort icon moves to the left and is visible.

Do you use Gnome as a desktop?

I played a little again. Could it be that you have set your sidebar so small that after activating the vertical scrollbar, a horizontal scrollbar is also activated at the bottom? Then you can move the horizontal scrollbar to the right and you will see the sort icon again. This behavior would be completely normal.

Yes, you are right! I did not catch that before. If this behavior is expected, this bug report can be closed.
