Pleaes try with the nightly build. https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kdenlive_Nightly_mingw64/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/ WARNING: This version has a new project type that is not backwards compatible... so you won't be able to use older versions to open new files. DO these nightly builds stable? Yes. The daily build represent version 20.08 at the moment. I have the same issue with version 20.08.1 and the latest nightly build. The program freezes loading existing projects at various percentages of loading clips. With the latest nightly build it seems to go farther then freezes with 'validating' checked at bottom left. Some work was done on this front in latest version can you please try and let us know if it still happens?
