Currently there's no way to disable the sliding animation when switching to an activity. While the animation is not too noticeable, there is a clear delay for when it starts and can become rather distracting and affects the otherwise seamless transition between the activities. It would be great to be able to disable the animation for activities without having to disable all animations in Plasma.

From my testing on KDE Plasma 6.5, this animation seems extremely quick and even disappears if there's multiple switches between activities. Does this bug report still apply to the latest version here?
