I have set my locale to fr_FR.UTF-8 and am not able to duplicate the problem. Once the name is assigned with the blank as thousand separator it will not go away. After all, it's the name of the budget which you can change. Can you reproduce the problem with the current stable AppImage?

Good news.
I am not able to reproduce this issue with KMyMoney-5.1.0-5ce7527-x86_64.AppImage.

Should this be closed as FIXED or WORKSFORME?
Comment 4 antoine 2020-07-26 18:56:39 UTC
I think it can be set as FIXED

I do not know if this is a version issue (5.0.8 vs 5.1.0) or a package issue (.deb vs .appimage) ...

Finally closing, per Comment 4.
