The "Weather Report" widget's configuration window, under the "Weather Station" section, is confusing.

After entering a location to search for (e.g., "olympia"), the "Search" button is not enabled. It turns out that weather (a) reporting source(s) need to be selected, using the unlabeled "flag"-icon button.

Providing a label on the "flag" button, either directly, or at the least via a tool-tip when hovering over the button, would be useful.

Additionally, providing some basic instructions up front (e.g., in place of the list of locations that will appear, once a successful search has occurred) would be helpful.

Finally, when selecting data sources from the menu that appears when the "flag" button is clicked, the menu immediately disappears. I personally have no idea which sources might include my location, so I just selected them all. As the list shows checkboxes, it seemed reasonable to me that I could just click all of them, and then dismiss the list. Instead, I have to click the flag, click a checkbox, click the flag again, click another checkbox, and so on.

Thanks for your consideration!

Correction: I meant to write "It turns out that [a] weather reporting source[s] need to be ..." :)

I agree, which is why I re-did the UI for Plasma 5.19. :)
