SUMMARY
Clicking CTRL-T to crop selected area, display a clear transparent new selected area with an empty image.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select area
2. Click CROP function from Image menu (or CTRL-T)
3. You get an empty/transparent new image.

OBSERVED RESULT


EXPECTED RESULT
Display only the selected (crop) area.

It's a regression, as it used to work fine in previous versions.

I can not reproduce this and you did not tell us which version you are using.
(there is a reason why the bug report shows fields you are supposed to fill in)
