It seems layout configurations are not saved either. If I choose another layout and restart latte. The old layout is back. Also when I check boxes like "Use mac button to open application menu", I can't click on "Apply". It is still grayed out. Your layout in my system works just fine in DodgeMaximized mode, Are you using wayland? 2. "Use mac button to open application menu" is the only option that does not activate Apply button. Please open a new bug report for that. In my system all the rest checkboxes work just fine. 2.(In reply to jan.claussen10 from comment #5) Of course make sure that your maximized windows are not set to "Always On Top". In such case, of course and Latte can not come up. No, I am using X. Wayland doesn't support my Wacom screen and therefore I don't use it at all. You are right with the Mac Button. The other work fine, but also don't save. I am filing a new bug now. The windows are also not set to always on top. Just checked it. I also think it could be possible that this is related to the latest plasma update. Some things have broken since then. My compositor also turns off when I connect an external screen. When this happens also things in latte break. Then it does not dodge at all anymore and I have to restart. And it does not dodge anymore, even when I reactivate the compositor of course ;) no idea. It works just fine for me with Plasma 5.19.2 I will try to delete my kde config folder after exams. Will see then if it fixes it. Sometimes it does. I also think it might not be related to Latte, but since it uses KDE functions heavily it might just be the most affected. the mac option not enabling Apply button is fixed in master branch I just reinstalled my whole system and it was for nothing because the problem still exists. Now I can't enable advanced configuration or the dock will crash. So actually now I have more problems than before... How did you install Latte and what is you Latte version? I installed it via AUR. I changed back and forth from the old version and the git version now. For now most problems are gone, except that the painting options for the icons are not saved. But this is a minor issue to me. At least the dodging works again. Your dock is really great and that I am willing to purge my root partition to get it going speaks volumes. Hope everything will be fine from now on. They are always white when I restart Latte or reboot. I can set them when I go back to the version from the offical Arch repo and then upgrade to the git version afterwards. I can now confirm that this is related to the latest plasma updates that were shipped with the Manjaro unstable branch or the stable Arch branch. This is probably a KDE problem and not a problem with Latte. And by this I mean the dodgin bug. The icon painting bug is probably a Latte issue. The icon issue has been fixed but you need latest git version. Don't rely on Arch for the git version it might be outdated. Yes, you are right. I had the git version from the community repo installed. The AUR version is up-to-date and I can confirm that the bug is fixed. |
