Graphs and values design
Individual Core Usage widget set as line chart |
As you've seen from no activity over the last three years, the old widgets aren't coming back. :) But please do feel free to submit bug reports and feature requests for the new ones when you find that they don't do what you want. Well, the request was to bring back this kind of graphs to the new components. I still suffer from it because I find old graphs (as methodology) more comprehensive. I do not discuss the looks here or the style preference, subjectively. Created attachment 159061 [details]
Individual Core Usage widget set as line chart
To illustrate my problem is the current Individual Core Usage widget set as line chart.
There is no individual line chart here separated as it was before. Now are all cores charts superimposed.
May be spectacular for a person that want's to show up a desktop, but does not help much.
I know, I may be like a car driver that refuses automatic gear box for a manual one, but I need that feedback.
I suspect it's just a display style definition to be added, but I am not sure yet.
Why not having that original layout again?

Created attachment 129788 [details] Graphs and values design SUMMARY Add the 5.18.x graphs back as display style or preset. Although the new design is cool, the 5.18.x design is more comprehensible and provides exact values and evolution graphs in a very clear and compact way. For instance, overlapping CPU cores graphs or networks can't show a specific core or network status, global status being not useful in some cases. Personally, I'd use both at the same time, global CPU load value and graphs along with individual CPU cores too. Why not having all these at once?
