SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. I made a small project to test, and when I tried to save, nothing happened when click on "save as". 
2. 

OBSERVED RESULT
 Not open a box to name, select format or folder to save.

EXPECTED RESULT

Ubuntu 18.04

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I made a lot of updates but this problem still remains

The same thing happen to me with ubuntu 20.04 and now with AV Linux (Debian Buster)

Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 20.08.1 to see if there are any packaging issues https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/
