SUMMARY
This inconsistency doesn't exist with Breeze Dark.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. set global theme to Breeze
2. open system settings > Connections
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
"Connecions" selected in the side bar has white text on blue background,
but selected connection has black text on blue background.

EXPECTED RESULT
White text on blue background for the selected connection too.

The bug of the connections list if fixed, the one with connection types popup persists.

The initially described bug is fixed. Connection types are not highlighted at all, and this is reported as bug 507784
