Description Linus Kardell 2020-06-24 09:51:17 UTC
SUMMARY
If you enter an sftp or fish URL without explicitly specifying the path, the up button is not clickable.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to sftp without specifying a path (enter just sftp://<hostname>)
2. Get redirected to a subdirectory (you would usually end up in sftp://<hostname>/home/<username>/)

OBSERVED RESULT
Up button in toolbar is grayed out. If you instead explicitly specify the path, the button is clickable. If you edit the path to go to a different directory, the button also becomes clickable.

EXPECTED RESULT
Up button should be clickable.

Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately we were not able to get to it yet. Can we ask you to please check if this is still an issue with Dolphin 25.12.2.
Comment 2 Linus Kardell 2026-02-14 17:06:13 UTC
Yes, this is still happening in Dolphin 25.12.2, at least to an extent. If I type just "sftp://<hostname>" into the location bar and press enter, the up button is initially grayed out. Though if I do anything, even just change tab and change back, the up button becomes clickable.
