SUMMARY
Cannot set Kate as default to read MD files.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install KDE Kate from the Windows Store
2. Open any *.MD file with the "Open with..." in Explorer, cannot select Kate to open it and select it as default in any way

OBSERVED RESULT
From the dropdown list of usable apps to open an MD file, Kate doesn't appear and be set as default.

EXPECTED RESULT
From the dropdown list of usable apps to open an MD file, Kate should appear and be set as default.
