Following the instructions in the report I was not able to make "Krita -> preferences" to dissapear.

Is the menu missing from "krita" inside "Settings" with the name "Configuration options"?

Tested on 4.3.0 macos 10.15.5

Well this is again an elusive bug... after reproducing it several times now I can't reproduce it at all. There might be some missing steps I haven't figured out.

It's not something we could do anything about in any case, since it's Qt that moves the preferences menu from the settings menu to the app menu on macOS. If there's a bug with that, it's a bug in Qt.
