Description Laura David Hurka 2020-06-18 17:14:03 UTC
SUMMARY
I want my screen to be locked when the screen is turned off by the screensaver. Unfortunately, this doesn’t happen. How can I configure that?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. System Settings -> Power Management -> AC Power: 20 minutes screensaver
2. System Settings -> Power Management -> Battery: 5 minutes screensaver
3. System Settings -> Screen Locking -> 20 minutes

OBSERVED RESULT
Screen is locked on AC Power, but not on Battery power. There is apparently no way to lock the screen when the screensaver turns the screen off.

EXPECTED RESULT
Screen is actually locked when it looks locked (screensaver).

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Neon 5.19
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.71.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2

In Bug 314990 it says:

> Steps to Reproduce:
> 1. Set screen locker mode to screensaver and select "Blank screen"
> as screensaver

So I assume the configuration module just lost this option?
