Remote drives not showing in Chrome or Vivaldi

SUMMARY
When opening or saving files in Chrome or Chromium based browsers (e.g. Vivaldi), remote drives are not showing.

On Kubuntu 20.04, Firefox does not use Dolphin for opening/saving files.
When running firefox with
GTK_USE_PORTAL=1 firefox %u
it does use Dolphin and does show remote drives, which are also operating correctly.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open or save file in Chrome, Vivaldi ...

OBSERVED RESULT
remote drives are not showing

EXPECTED RESULT
remote drives are showing

Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 20.04, Linux (x86_64) release 5.4.0-37-generic

Not beeing able to delete might also be considered a bug -> feature request.
