Just tested and it works on X. So this is Wayland specific. Moving to klipper. This is a wayland problem, though I'm not sure if it is klipper or qclipboard that's the problem here. What I see in wayland is that any copy from any app isn't persistent beyond the life time of the app and also they are not tracked in klipper. Same thing on neon unstable. Might have been fixed by the recent clipboard improvement for Wayland. I have not tested it, though. If you can confirm, this might be a duplicate of the relevant bug report (I guess making Klipper work on Wayland). possibly duplicate of bug 424649 Just tested with a Plasma session compiled from master. It is still happening for me, so I assume that https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/merge_requests/1 did not fix this. Is this a hint that qclipboard is causing this? I can't reproduce on neon unstable. Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.76.0 Qt Version: 5.15.0 Possibly https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/merge_requests/365 fixed this. I will add Aleix to the CC of this bug, so he can clarify. What my fix addresses is only related to xwayland. This was originally reported on 5.19 which IIRC didn't have clipboard management supported yet. Either https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/merge_requests/1 or https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/merge_requests/365 fixed it depending on the technologies used. It should be safe to close right now. Alright. Maybe there were two different bugs at different stages of this bug causing the same symptoms. |
