To fix my issue i made a new theme that inherits from breeze and use new theme. Please clarify if icon overriding like i described in first message is supposed to work or was i doing it incorrectly from the start? yeah I'm afraid that was never supported. :) What you eventually did is correct. |
Created attachment 129096 [details] issue demo I use a breeze theme with applications icons from numix-circle theme. Each time i restart desktop session they get reset in the panel. If i go to icon settings, change to another theme and back to breeze - panel starts showing application icons from numix-circle theme. This is how i customized theme icons: ~/.local/share/icons/breeze % tree . └── apps └── 48 -> /usr/share/icons/Numix-Circle/48/apps/ For clarity i attached a short video displaying panel right after session restart, and how i fix icon appearance. Video shows latte-dock, however same thing happens with icons-only panel as well. This started happening recently after i changed icon theme to another temporarily. I did try deleting ~/.cache directory - that did not help.
