SUMMARY

First off, I hope I am doing this bug submission right. This is my first time.

Anyways, Whenever I am watching a YouTube video or writing a game in Pico-8 and I get a notification, the video will stutter for about half a second and then continue. It seems to stutter slightly less when Kwin is disabled, but it is still noticeable.

Here is a screen capture I recorded to better demonstrate what's happening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltmrJHM7b_E. Please note that I am not sure why the notifications and task bar flicker in the video. I think it has something to do with my OBS Studios settings, as I never see it flicker any other time.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Go to any YouTube video
2. Trigger a notification

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 20.04
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0
Qt Version: 5.12.8

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

My system specs are as follows:

CPU: Intel I5 8500
GPU: Nvidia GTX 970
RAM: 16GB DDR4 @ 3000 Mhz
Motherboard: Gigabyte z390-UD

I am also using the proprietary Nvidia 440 driver. If I had to guess, I imagine that the problem has something to do with this driver, but I haven't tested the Nouveau driver to see if it does the same thing.
