At the moment the Large Icons and Small Icons switchers are the only icon switchers included by default. Probably for many, including myself, the icons are either much too large or much too small. Two negative consequences of the former are (i) it limits the number of tasks shown; (ii) especially on large monitors, it causes the user to scan a large area to find and select their desired task. It would therefore be nice to have an icon switcher that allows for a configurable icon size. This would replace both Small Icons and Large Icons.

it bothers me too. luckily it is possible to download an alternative with the icons in a more suitable size.
