I want the reminder daemon running of course but I do not need it in the systray, so I unchecked the option "Show reminder daemon in the systray", which also tells me that "the daemon will continue running even if it's not shown in the systray"
but that seems to no longer work, since when I uncheck this option, also the korgac daemon is stopped and I get no reminders.

reminders don't work at all for me since the change over to DBus activation in master.

but you aren't using master?

on the bright-side, reminders in master do seem to work for me again.
