SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Okular
2. Open the pdf with audio embedding (The logs only show up if the pdf has audio embedding)
3. Click on show forms
4. No response when you play the audio


OBSERVED RESULT

Audio not played

Audio plays

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

There seem to be multiple errors trying to connect to pulse audio server when I checked the log, the error looks like
```
[0000562d10291070] vlcpulse audio output error: PulseAudio server connection failure: Connection terminated
[0000562d102edf90] vlcpulse audio output error: PulseAudio server connection failure: Connection terminated

```

But when I checked my journalctl, I found that pulseaudio is dropping the connections because okular is ddosing pulseaudio's server

I think that the attached file does not contain sound data. At least neither FoxIt Reader nor PDF-XChange Editor shows them. No attached files found.

but it plays on my phone with ezpdfreader, also the site where I downloaded it recommended that I use Adobe Acrobat PC Pro

Does using phonon-qt5-gstreamer instead of phonon-qt5-vlc work fixes the issue for you?

I just did that, I installed phonon-qt5-gstreamer but there was no difference (I got the same logs/warnings in the terminal). Then I uninstalled phonon-qt5-vlc and there was no logs but still no sound. I checked my journal and the issue pulseaudio logs aren't there either
