Moved layout
Well that's bizarre. I have the same problem. It is quite random. There are moments that it happens a few times and after an update it disappears. Other times it happens almost continuously and does not go away. I have had that problem in manjaro from 2018 to 2020 and now with kde neon it happens to me again. It is very annoying because the icons appers behind the widgets as you can see in the screenshot and and I have to move everything or delete them. Please, Is there a way to reset / remove the position of the icons on the screen? Operating System: KDE neon 5.22 KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.83.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Kernel Version: 5.8.0-55-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 12 × Intel® Core™ i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz Memory: 7.6 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: GeForce GTX 1650/PCIe/SSE2 Created attachment 139312 [details]
Bug icons move in the desktop behind the widgets
More information: I have only a vertical panel. The problem it happens on boot when the vertical panel loads and the icons are moved a bit by the panel. Fransisco, your issue is probably something subtly different. If you can reproduce it with Plasma 5.27.5, can you please submit a new bug report for it? Thanks! Max, I can't reproduce your originally described issue in Plasma 5.27.4 with exactly that desktop icon layout. Can you still reproduce it with Plasma 5.27.4 and a recent Frameworks version (e.g. 5.104 or later)? Can you still reproduce it with Plasma > 5.27.4 and a recent Frameworks version (e.g. 5.104 or later)? Hello, I can not reproduce the issue with the following configuration: Operating System: Fedora Linux 37 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.104.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 Kernel Version: 6.2.10-200.fc37.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × Intel® Core™ i7-10870H CPU @ 2.20GHz Memory: 15.4 ГиБ of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics Manufacturer: Dell Inc. Product Name: Dell G15 5510 Excellent news! (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #6) > Fransisco, your issue is probably something subtly different. Can you still reproduce it with Plasma > 5.27.4 and a recent Frameworks version (e.g. 5.104 or later)? Some time ago I changed the panel to horizontal to avoid the problem. I am going to try the vertical panel again and will let you know if there is a problem in a new report. Thanks for your interest. |
Created attachment 128031 [details] Normal layout of my icons SUMMARY After almost every login my desktop icons are moved down in every column except the first one. Every icon on the second column are moved down one row, on the third column - two rows etc., so my layout looks like stairs after that. See attached screenshots. This started to happen after upgrade of frameworks from 5.67 to 5.68. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Logout/login several times (happens often, but not always) 2. 3.
