recent applciation doesn not contain it
othger games KDE programs do appear

OMG I fear this is a feature - b/c KMahjongg was marked as "favorite", right?

Maybe, i guess you'd have to ask in some Plasma channel, it'd be a Plasma bug/feature and not a KMahjongg one

Correct. This is a design decision.

It can be reopened if there is a compelling case why it is problematic, but it was introduced to solve a bug.
