what the digital clock shows

SUMMARY

I have a vertical panel, with a digital clock widget.
I set the custom date format to "ddd d MMM" and it was fine at first.
But after a restart the date is drawn with a giant font (see attached screenshot).
Looks like going to the digital clock settings, setting an empty format, apply, and putting the format back what to it was makes it a little bit smaller but still too big.
I'd want the date to be on a single line and be scaled down to fit, not scaled up so every word fills the panel width, otherwise the clock uses up most of the space of the panel itself.

Looks like a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417852
Comment 2 Mattia Basaglia 2020-06-17 16:53:18 UTC
hmm the issue for me is that it scales beyond panel width but it might be related to that other report
