I'm sorry, but this is not a bug, of course. You need to rearrange Krita's docker layout to fit the dimensions of your screen, change the system font size or get a monitor that is suitable for animation work.

Hi Boudewijn,
as described above, I am using ubuntu, installed krita via the packet
manager. I am not dealing with docker images. The GUI does not scale when
clicking on the maximize button, the lower areas of the main window is not
shown on the screen and no scrollbar enables me to scroll down. So the
program is simply not usable anymore. What could I do? Any help is
appreciated.
Greetings

By "docker", Boudewijn meant all those little windows on Krita UI: https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/getting_started/navigation.html#dockers - you can move them around to make more space. I noticed that a lot of default workspaces (default configurations of dockers) have three dockers on top of each other, which makes it hard to use on fullHD resolution display, and if you have lower resolution - or higher, but with HiDPI scaling that makes it lower than fullHD - it can make Krita's window too big to fit on the screen. If you remove or move around some of them, you'll be able to make it fit the screen.

If you have more trouble, please head over to krita-artists.org and post a screenshot of your Krita window (and link to this page) so we can help you further.
