Normal padding
This is just Plasma not handling with hidpi on X11 very well in general. It's fixed on Wayland or if you set the PLASMA_USE_QT_SCALING=1 in the environment and restart plasmashell. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 356446 *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 390147 *** |
Created attachment 127573 [details] Squished padding SUMMARY Attached are two screenshots of KSysGuard, one with my integrated Intel GPU, and one with my dedicated AMD GPU. The AMD screenshot looks normal, while UI in the Intel screenshot is very squished. This happens in many QT apps: it affects tabs, buttons, icons, and other UI elements. It doesn't seem to affect GTK apps or the taskbar and system tray. If display scaling is at 1x, it's not a problem. I've also had similarly squished padding with my dedicated GPU if I boot into recovery mode, then continue a graphical boot, which includes a warning that the GPU might not be fully initialized. My hardware is a MacbookPro11,5, which has a 15-inch 2880x1800 display which I use at 2x scale.
