Request: How difficult would it be to setup Latte-Dock to allow per applet shadow settings? I would love to have large shadows on my Tasks icons that show up, but lower shadows on my System Settings taskbar as the larger shadows look odd with the icons. This would also allow much better contrast on items.

At a minimum I believe it would be beneficial to simply have a setting whereby Applets can have Shadows turned off, so that the shadow settings of the dock don't apply to that applet.

too much configurability and does not simplify things...

A solution could be to use different Latte docks/panels to achieve that...
in git version you can have different docks and panels at the same screen edge so you can set for each one of them different shadow settings.
