It's a Samba bug. :( See Bug 398079 and https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14326 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 398079 *** (CCing Harald in case I've mis-triaged this as he's the expert on Samba stuff these days) Could be that bug, could just as likely be server misconfiguration though. There is a mountain of authentication related settings in gpedit.msc and, I guess, secpol.msc too. Windows does rather dislike empty passwords for remote authentication, for obvious reasons. |
