SUMMARY
when adding files, and then looking at it with kdiff3 configured like stated here: https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/extragear-utils/kdiff3/git.html a lot of windows open which need to be clicked away.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. create files
2. call "git difftool", or "git difftool --cached"



OBSERVED RESULT
kdiff3 complains about files not there previously for all


EXPECTED RESULT
kdiff3 should just open and present the diff between nothing and new file.

This issue has been addressed in 1.8.3.
