Remove the ~/.config/kolourpaintrc file before starting KolourPaint. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 386120 *** I'm sorry but I am not a programmer/developer, could you please give complete command line instructions from start to finish? Is this done in terminal? If you are familiar with the terminal, use this command: rm ~/.config/kolourpaintrc But you can also use any GUI file manager to navigate to that file, as long as you have enabled showing hidden files and directories. In your home folder, a .config folder should appear that contains the file. If you are even more experienced, use a text editor to edit that file. Only the line starting with "State=" needs to be removed. That will preserve the remaining configuration (not that KolourPaint has many options). I am a nonprogrammer, I tried that command it didn't work... owner@owner-FQ515AA-ABA-a6620f:~$ rm ~/.config/kolourpaintrc owner@owner-FQ515AA-ABA-a6620f:~$ rm ~/.config/kolourpaintrc rm: cannot remove '/home/owner/.config/kolourpaintrc': No such file or directory owner@owner-FQ515AA-ABA-a6620f:~$ I did a file search, not found Do a right-click with the mouse at the menu bar (e.g. right of the Help menu), then you will get a popup showing all toolbars available. The color toolbar might be unchecked in your case. Just check it. Thank you, it is back (resolved) *** Bug 428130 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
