SUMMARY

The file opener has no preview - on an image manipulation software. 
I can see a preview in my Firefox - a GTK application. 


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a new file. 
2. See no preview. 
3. Dont know what you are supposed to upload in the first place. 

OBSERVED RESULT

No preview.

A major problem because a file dialog has no preview? Not really serious? First, my file dialog has a preview because the native KF5 file dialog is used. DigiKam has an option in setup to use the native file dialog. However, this depends on the desktop used. The AppImage also only has the Qt file dialog. Since you seem to be using KF5, just activate the native file dialog in the setup. Then you will see the same as in Firefox.
