This is a very old version of Dolphin. I suspect that it has been fixed in the two years since 17.12 was released. Can you attach a screenshot showing the issue? Also could you try upgrading to a more recent version and seeing if it still happens there? Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! Created attachment 127591 [details] attachment-17552-0.html Indeed, it is, and it was. I fixed the problem by installing kubuntu backports ppa: https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ppa/+archive/ubuntu/backports It upgraded Dolphin to dolphin:amd64 (4:17.12.3-0ubuntu1). Dolphin handled the trash properly. But the backport, it seems, broke my system. Hence my late reply after you lent your attention to the problem. I couldn't fix it, had take emergency measures to restore my data and reinstall my system. I haven't reinstalled Dolphin since. I had been trying it to see what it could do in conjunction with Dolphin. I may have missed something in the brief time it was working. But it seemed not nearly as capable as kfind, used alongside Thunar. Thanks for the update; changing status. Baloo. I had been trying to see what Dolphin would do in conjunction with Baloo. Not, as I said above (can't see where to edit the comment), trying to see what Dolphin would do in conjunction with Dolphin. Anyways, thanks for coming to my aid. |
