SUMMARY
With the latest two nightly builds:
1. My favorites group is not visible 
2. Selecting on brushes from user crated bundles do not select the brush, but just remains the last selected brush from the brushes that come with Krita.
Bundels I use are:
Rad's Bundle - https://share.krita.org/p/1171404/
wojtry-v4-n - could not find link
devaad - https://www.davidrevoy.com/article319/krita-brushkit-v8

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Download and install latest nightly build
2. Download and install any of the above mentioned bundles
3. Try selecting a brush from a bundle

OBSERVED RESULT
Brushes from Bundles are not selectable
Custom favorites group not visible in nightly build, but visible in 4.2.9

EXPECTED RESULT
Brushes from Bundles are selectable
Custom favorites group visible

That's part of the resource rewrite that we recently merged into master.

The brush selecting should work; the icon doesn't change, but the brush should work on the canvas just fine. And it should be selected in the Brush Presets docker if you select it that way.

If you have more issues with resources, it might be better if you came to irc (#krita on freenode, best to use kiwiirc) and explained them there; we keep a list of bugs and things do to elsewhere for now.

Yes this specific issue was fixed about a week or a month after this bug report. I mentioned this in the IRC channel at that time.

At the moment though, there is a new issue I'm having where for the past 2 months all nightly releases since November 26-th, are showing extreme lag when resizing brushes. Bug 430208
